Traditionally the Winter Solstice marks the shortest and darkest day of the year; heralding the close of one year and the promise of new light to come in the Spring. This year has been tough and the Solstice is a wonderful time for us to reflect; to celebrate the things that have gone right for us, and to release the negative things that no longer serve us.

With this goal in mind, why not join a special workshop to connect with yourself in a safe online space with like-minded people? You are invited to enjoy the nourishing warmth of a winter wind-down workshop which combine yoga, meditation, reflective journaling and a special heart chakra energy healing. The workshop will take place over two days: Saturday the 19th December (8.30am-10.30am) and Sunday 20th December (8.30am-10.30) and will incorporate a 45 minute yoga session, guided meditation / heart chakra healing and reflective journaling with the chance to share and reflect as a group.

This is an open level class designed to be inclusive and accessible to first timers and experienced yogis alike. Bring your unique and beautiful self, a mat (or towel), hot drink and notebook. Feel free to keep your cameras off: it’s about what makes you feel safe. I hope you will find the workshops a really nice way to take some time to nurture our bodies, minds and souls.

ABOUT YOUR TEACHERS:

Miztli Rose is an actor, writer and yoga teacher based in London. Miztli began practicing yoga whilst training at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art as a way of connecting with her body and calm her mind. Another benefit was that having suffered from dyspraxia all her life, yoga allowed her to really enjoy the art of moving. She trained with HotPod in Vinyasa flow and with Triyoga in Pregnancy Yoga. Miztli is an empathetic teacher who believes in making her classes accessible and inclusive to allow students to develop and flourish at their own pace.

Ophelie Hocquard is an energy healer and Reiki Master, who helps people free themselves from negative patterns whether they be emotional/ mental or even physical. She works with different energies, and she brings them all together to benefit their greatest and highest good.

More detail: The workshop is priced at £30 (£15 per session) but in line with inclusivity please email if you would like to request a free place. On Saturday we will start with a check in, followed by a 45 minute yoga practice, heart chakra healing and meditation led by Ophelie Hocuard. This will be followed by a roundup. On Sunday we start with a check-in and a 45 minute practice followed by a guided meditation and reflective journaling before we check out.
