ABOUT MIZTLI

My name is Miztli Rose, and I am a British-Mexican yoga teacher based in Emsworth. I first discovered yoga while training as an actor at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Yoga taught me to connect movement with breath and gave me the tools to strengthen, challenge, and reset my mind, body, and spirit.

Yoga also became a vital support system as I navigated anxiety, providing me with the tools I desperately needed to soothe my nervous system. After years of punishing my body at the gym—longing, like many young women, to fit into a smaller frame—yoga helped me develop a different relationship with movement, one rooted in care and self-nourishment.

And after practicing regularly for ten years, I completed my first 200-hour teacher training in 2019 with HotPod Yoga Studio. As a teacher, I’m especially interested in the power of yoga to help us lead happier lives with a greater sense of connection, particularly to nature. I’m passionate about guiding students in nurturing themselves through movement and empowering them to carry what they learn on the mat into their daily lives.

I work with students of all ages and backgrounds and always strive to make my classes welcoming and accessible. I don’t believe there is only one ‘right’ way to practice yoga—what I teach is simply my way, and that continues to evolve as my own practice grows.

Beyond teaching, I also work as a performer, facilitator, and writer.
